A successor to Motorola's mid-range Moto G smartphone could be coming as soon as September 10th, if a report by GSMArena is to be believed.
Apparently
the Moto G2 tipster revealed the date alongside a European price point
of 250 euros (roughly £199), suggesting that the UK will see the phone
at the same time.
The current Moto G costs about £114
from some retailers, meaning the new handset is looking at a seriously
hefty price bump. That might not go down too well.
"The
successor of Motorola Moto G, rumored as Moto G2 and Moto G+1, should be
available for purchase on September 10," reads the report.
"The information comes from a retailer, which got the info straight from a Motorola rep."
The
source apparently revealed that the Moto G2 would be a dual-sim 5-in
handset, and we're expecting the device to also tout a quad-core 1.2GHz
processor, 1Gb of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing
snapper to boot.
It seems Motorola rumours are flying
thick and fast as two release dates have been leaked in as many days.
Yesterday saw tipsters whisper a 25th September launch date for the
rumoured Moto X2, indicating a busy month for the firm.
